Maybe one way to balance Google is what China has done using http://www.baidu.com. In China Baidu dominates and Google is second, but that’s a rare story.

But I also agree with Amir that Google has become just too big to be “tackled”. And most of that is due to its simple approach to search, their innovation of new products, providing many “free services” and their motto of “Be honest.”

They (yahoo/bing) should to that to beat google domination. I think we must have another big giant search engine portal to make market more colourful and attractive.

Yahoo and Bing will probably continue to cooperate against google, but I think Google is too powerful to be balanced
