It's common for people to search for information on their mobile phones. The convenience of these pocket computers allows us to access information on the go. What does that mean for our SEO?

NASHVILLE, TN – These days, it’s common for people to search for information on their mobile phones. It’s so convenient to search for restaurants, stores, and services on mobile devices while we’re out and about. For users with smartphones like iPhones and Androids, our telephones are essentially pocket computers. So should we be tailoring SEO content to a mobile platform?

On December 15, 2011, Google introduced their smartphone Google-bot Mobile. It is Google’s hope that by indexing smartphone content separately, users will have better search experiences on their phones. The blog post, written by Yoshikiyo Kato, says:

“With the number of smartphone users rapidly rising, we’re seeing more and more websites providing content specifically designed to be browsed on smartphones.”

In a Search Engine Land article about mobile searches in 2012, Michael Martin explains how users may want different information from searches across different platforms:

“The intention of inputting a search term on a desktop, feature phone, smartphone, or tablet can mean different things for the same keyword. For example, when typing in the term ‘tacos’ on a desktop I may want information or recipes; but on a feature phone, I may want to call a local taco shop; on a smartphone, I want directions to a local taco place, and on a tablet, I want to check reviews or what different items on the menu look like.”

For your business, it’s relatively easy to provide all this information to your potential customers. Having a variety of content, such as recipes, directions, menus, reviews, and photos, can be important on a mobile platform (and on a stationary computer).

A study by the group Meditative shows that images and reviews draw in your user’s eyes. For iPhone users, the study revealed that positive reviews on the Google Places app made a huge difference in which listing got clicks and which did not. While you need to register to see Meditative’s eye-tracking report, Search Engine Land breaks down the basics in this article.

Ryan Jones at Search Engine Journal doesn’t believe you need a different strategy for mobile SEO. Since our phones are just little computers, Jones thinks it’s easier just to design your website to work well on all devices – including phones, tablet computers, and traditional desktops and laptops. Jones writes:

“If you want something that is really native to a device, an app is definitely the way to go. Apps can access multi-touch features, rich media, in app purchases, gps, camera, and other aspects to provide a truly unique experience that a website cannot.”

My favorite websites that I frequent online all have apps. If your business could benefit from a mobile app, brainstorm ideas that would entice your customers, entertain them, or practically inform them about your business. Maybe your pizza place could commission an app to let users create their own pizza. Your personal training business could create a personalized workout app, complete with a nutrition and exercise routine.

While mobile screens are smaller than traditional computer screens, apps can give users a tailored experience on a smartphone. Apps with in-app purchases, such as the photography app Hipstamatic, drive users to their website with extended packages and the ability to purchase photography prints. The Pinterest app is just as useful as the full website for users to share things they like.

Focus on how your customers will find you, and keep up your tireless SEO endeavors. If you believe your business needs a separate mobile site, or even an app, evaluate what’s best for you and for your customers.

But no matter which form of technology is accessing your website due to your SEO efforts, all SEO strategies require three things to be successful, as outlined by Mater Google’s CEO Ali Husayni, who says:

“SEO takes the following three things: expertise, hard work, and patience. On average, our clients see the best results within six months to a year after we start a project.”

Master Google client CariniAir.com recently saw their site rise to the top of Google Places and other search result areas after working with us. Doug Cooper, the VP of Marketing for CariniAir.com, was thrilled with the results.

“Finally achieving the top spot on Google Maps for our most important keywords is a dream come true. Everyone at Carini Heating and Air is very excited and grateful to Master Google for their continued hard work and persistence,” Cooper says.

SANTA MONICA, CA — I know that we all thought we were done with hearing about “making a list, and checking it twice,” but when considering either having or being a guest blogger, ’tis the season to make a list of steps and goals along the way. What should that list look like? From targeting a market, to joining a group that shares blogging opportunities, planning ahead of time will make it easier to decide what to post and where to spend your time maximizing link building, an important search engine optimization tactic.

1. Understand the Importance of an Inbound Link. Inbound links are one of the key components to quality SEO, because it tells Google that your website is trusted and important. More links make you an authority. To further understand the anatomy of a link, see the full explanation in a recent article by Andrew Pitre on HubSpot’s blog. And remember, not all links are created equal.

“If you were to get an inbound link from a domain with lots of its own inbound links, like the New York Times, for example, you would get more authority transferred to your domain than if you got a link from my friend Brian’s blog,” Pitre says.

2. Target Blogs With Keyword Research. If you’re looking for a guest blogger, please skip ahead to the next step.

For the writers: what do you want to write about? Think of words or phrases that you currently want to be found under in a Google search. Search for these keywords on Google and determine the list of websites that you wish to write for. To further expand your horizons, use the Google Adwords Keyword Tool, which will give a thorough list of the keywords from the previous month that relate. Another Adwords column also displays those keywords’ popularity for the last month, a very valuable tool in deciding which sites are worth your time.

Another option is signing up for a service like WordTracker.com, according to Ali Husayni, the CEO of the SEO service company, Master Google. WordTracker’s function is like the Google Adwords Keyword Tool, in that it helps you find and evaluate keywords.

3. Join a (Free) Service Like Blogger Link Up. BloggerLinkUp.com is a website that connects blog writers with website owners who need blog content. Each week, a newsletter is sent out with lists of requested blog posts, and writers wanting to be a guest poster. The form is the same, whether you are a prospective guest blogger or a website in need of a guest blogger.

4. Make Yourself Uncomfortable With Your Guest Blog Efforts (Within Reason). What makes you uncomfortable about writing or hosting a guest blog post? Change can be scary, but we need to try every serious idea we have at least once, urges Cathy Stucker, the founder of BloggerLinkUp.com, in a recent post.

“The problem is that too often we don’t try a second or third time (or even a first!) with marketing activities which seem difficult,” Stucker says. “I was terrified the first time I gave a speech. But I got up and did it anyway. You can, too.”

So, forget your fears, and remember, the worst thing that can happen with new content is that, well, you don’t receive any at all. Go get it.

Tips on how to get your site to the top of Google you won't find anywhere else.

Santa Monica, CA – Happy Holidays to all of our wonderful subscribers (and soon to be subscribers). We hope that you have found this blog to be a useful source of information and advice. As you know, it’s almost another year, and you might be putting another SEO strategy in place, which is why now is the time to act on the newest innovations that the New Year brings. Beware of staying stagnant with your SEO strategies, advises Ali Husayni, CEO of the SEO service company, Master Google.

After all, as we mentioned in January of last year, SEO changes as Google’s search engine does, which makes it all the more important to stay with the trends. And not to fear, Husayni still remains optimistic that no matter how it continues to evolve, SEO works and will continue to work in the foreseeable future, even with the added features introduced by Google+. Here are some of the changes in SEO that experts expect to see in 2012.

Unique Content, in Real Time: While Google’s search algorithms continue to emphasize the performance of a website, it is even more important to provide new content, especially content in real time. Content that encourages feedback is timely, every time, according to marketing strategist David Meerman Scott, during a recent interview with Socialnomics.net.

“Social media gives us the ability to communicate instantly, yet most marketers have not developed the communication skills to address real time,” Scott said. “Marketers have been trained with a campaign mentality, spending weeks planning, designing and executing in a sequential manner… [using a] new mentality, infrastructure and workflow to meaningfully participate in real time,” Scott says.

Spend more time not only thinking about your target audience and what kind of content they need, but when they need that content. Timely content encourages engaged feedback from viable sites, which helps your Google ranking, according to Husayni.

“If you want to be on the 1st page of Google make an effort to create content that will get the users involved in a conversation,” says Husayni. “Respond to every comment you get on your website. Be nice and offer guidance. When other users see how responsive you are, they will visit your website more frequently as well.”

Focus on User Quality, Not Quantity: This much is still true regarding users: if your site is getting good reviews from users, it will improve your Google ranking. If it’s getting bad reviews, the reverse. But remember, more clicks don’t necessarily mean more customers or higher customer satisfaction rates. Encouraging good reviews by interacting with customers is more important than ever, according to a Fall 2011 Constant Contact Survey study. Sixty percent of responding businesses reported that they enjoy engaging with all customers and prospects who post comments on social media platforms, whether those posts are positive or negative. Consumer feedback can lead, of course, to a higher customer retention and satisfaction rate.

Social Media Continues to Increase in SEO Importance: It’s true that social media is one of the factors influencing natural search rankings for Google. So, more than ever, you must consider social media as part of your SEO promotion strategy. Try to get inbound links from bloggers. If you release a new product, you want to have someone influential twitter about it. Be sure you have a Facebook presence.

Targeted Websites: Be aware of how your target audience does research and try to entice viewers like more traditional marketing strategies. SEO companies like Master Google note that Google is looking for those sites that are valuable to users. You also need to find the online communities that your target consumer frequents. This will let you reach viewers as a group rather than individually.

The Rise of SEO-Led Marketing Campaigns: Increasingly, all marketing will be driven by SEO. Radio, TV, and print advertising will all be part of SEO campaigns to educate the users about products and services. There is an audience that traditional media reaches, but you have half the chance of reaching as many of them as you would have 10 years ago, according to Paul Gillin, a respected social media marketing guru and Author of The New Influencers. After all, in the last eight years, we have gone through a shift in consumerism. We begin with a search engine, as Gillin points out in his forum at the SuperGenius Conference.

“We used to go to a library and browse, now we expect it to be there,” Gillin says.

With a search engine’s place established by expert after expert, SEO ranking is at the heart of the campaign, rather than being an afterthought, and that is the new normal.

Geography is Even More Important Than it Was Last Year: Google Pages is increasingly part of Google’s search engine results. Google is also working on ways to incorporate the user’s location into results. As more and more people use GPS-enabled phones for searches, geographical considerations will play an even bigger role this year.

Have you ever wondered which online marketing method work spending your budget on? From SMM to SEO and YouTube, we will weigh in on the best choices for 2012.

Christmas lights, shopping bags, and endless family gatherings… it is a season full of fun, and distractions. Here at Master Google, we think that the end of the calendar year is the perfect time to plan your marketing budget for the new year. So, what’s the smartest budget choice in 2012?

Since marketing is all about getting to those wanting your product, no matter which marketing tactic(s) you choose, the web is the place for prospective buyers to find reviews and information. A recent Pew Research Center Poll shows how consumers decide where to eat and what to buy:

• 51 percent use the Internet

search engines – 31%

specialty websites – 17%

social media – 3%

• 31 percent read newspapers

printed copies – 26%

newspaper websites – 5%

• 23 percent take the word of friends/family/reputation

• 8 percent watch local TV

Let’s take a look at just how effectively SMM, SEO and YouTube reaches target audiences.

The Skinny on SMM:

Its use is on the rise, and the cost is nearly nil for initial output, which has made it more popular. It’s viable, too, according to a Fall 2011 study done by email marketing provider, Constant Contact. After surveying just over 2,000 small businesses, they found that 81percent of them use some form of it. The most common SMM remarks were that it is “easy to use,” and “works with my customers.” Facebook was cited as the number one tool, followed by Twitter, LinkedIn and video sharing.

What to Know About SEO:

SEO works, when used effectively. Effectively is the key word, pun intended. When looking at the Google keyword tool in AdWords, for instance, many changes have taken place, with the addition of everything from mobile apps to Google+ features. The questionable accuracy of keywords, as researched in our current AdWords-Focused Article, puts SEO up to scrutiny. In light of these worries, SEO expert Ali Husayni gives us assurance of the continuing stability of SEO as a viable marketing tool, as highlighted in our recent interview.

“SEO, and Google SEO in particular, are still very solid marketing tools for any small-, medium- and large-sized business,” Husayni said. “We do realize that, since Google+ has been born, SEO has become even more complicated, but at Master Google we’re staying at the top of the game.”

Now, let’s move to the often-talked about, seldom-understood potential of YouTube.

YouTube’s Place in Online Marketing and Media:

The face of the media is changing, and Paul Gillin, a respected social media marketing guru and Author of The New Influencers, stresses the importance of being bold with the new opportunities presented by being able to target an audience. Using traditional media is limited, after all, according to Gillin’s forum at the SuperGenius Conference.

“We are seeing a collapse of mainstream media because it’s based on an economic model that is highly inefficient,” Gillin said. “If you’re interested in selling wedding gowns, in the past, you had to market to 100 percent of the population, instead of the one percent looking for a wedding dress. Now we can reach those people directly.”

Why is this industry expert a proponent of YouTube? For one thing, I found Paul Gillin there. (Fun side note: have you heard of Justin Beiber, the song Friday by Rebecca Black, Antoine Dodson, or Auto-Tune the News? They all have YouTube to thank for their fame.)

As for the smartest budget choice in 2012, we at Master Google say a healthy dose of all three. If you have any questions regarding your marketing, please contact us directly. Happy marketing, and happy holidays.

Ali Husayni—owner and founder of SEO company Master Google—refutes claims that SEO is irrelevant, saying that SEO enhances Google’s ability to index pages.

ORANGE, CA-There’s a lot of information swirling around on the Internet about search engine optimization. It becomes hard to distinguish who’s right and who’s just plain missing the mark.

Owner and founder of Master Google, Ali Husayni, is setting the record straight about at least one source of information.

On October 31, Jason Hiner—TechRepublic’s Editor-in-Chief—wrote an article about Google’s newest algorithm update, named Panda. He cited SEO as one of the main reasons for which Google revamped its page ranking system. Hiner claimed that SEO merely helps Web sites get ranked as high as possible on Google search results, regardless of relevancy to the searcher’s query.

“As a result, the sites that land at the top of Google search results have become more about which sites are best optimized rather than the ones that have the best and most relevant content,” Hiner wrote.

Husayni refuted the ungrounded assumption, saying that he’s simply confusing SEO with black hat SEO.

Black hat SEO breaks search engine rules and regulations. It is unethical. According to Husayni, the difference between black hat SEO techniques and Master Google’s SEO efforts is clear: Master Google has morals.

“Optimization, fresh content and encouraging other sites or people to recommend our clients’ Web sites are all valid business practices,” Husayni said. “They are even approved by Google.”

“Google needs SEO companies to better understand sites,” he added. “In essence, we are enhancing the ability of Google crawlers to index and understand sites.”

Hiner also stated that social media platforms were threatening Google’s relevance, forcing the search engine to launch Google+. “Social media has been replacing traditional web search for many different kinds of information gathering…” he said.

But Husayni said, “It cannot.”

“Social media is what it is and it will certainly help your search results, based on what your friends or circles suggest,” he said. “But it cannot and will not replace Google as a search engine.”

Husayni said that there are several reasons Google has nothing to fear, one being that a social media platform cannot index every site or page. It’s also susceptible to spam, just like other search engines, he added.

However, Google did need to add Google+ to compete with rivals, like Facebook and Twitter, Husayni asserted.

“It was essential for Google to start generating money through ads placed on social media sites, especially after the enormous amount gained by Facebook and Twitter this way,” Husayni said. “They also sought to customize their search results based on social connections. In theory, this will return much more relevant results.”

Hiner went on to say that Google’s Panda update caused “collateral damage,” weeding out sites that actually have good content and still ranking spam higher.

Husayni, on the other hand, thinks that the update has done wonders for Google searchers, achieving the exact results it was intended for.

“Panda was a powerful update and it cleared the air from content farms and base sites, those that spammed searchers with lots and lots of content or duplicated text,” Husayni explained.

Despite Hiner’s opinions, Husayni thinks that Google is stronger than ever, with SEO being a valid contributor to their success.

“There is always going to be manipulation,” Husayni said. “Some people are going to use frowned-upon techniques to boost their site’s ranking, but that is black hat SEO. I hope that Master Google’s honest SEO services will raise the standards of the industry.”

Some tactics that address the top four objections clients have to spending money on SEO services.

TAMPA, FLORIDA—Almost every person seeking search engine optimization services with Master Google is initially skeptical and reluctant to invest—a trend that Ali Husayni says has stayed the same since he joined the industry in 2004.

“Many businesses see their competition ranking better than them, but they’ve tried SEO a couple of times and it’s failed,” he says. “So they often abandon the whole project, thinking no one can get them there.”

Husayni has built his top SEO business by convincing those skeptics to give him a chance to get them there, delivering on his promises and converting them into long-term clients.

Husayni provides professional SEO and website services, including optimization, inbound-link building, Google+ SEO and keywords analysis. He hears the same anti-SEO objections over and over again and has developed a retort for each one.

SEO Is Relevant For Every Business
A lot of small business owners do not see the value of SEO and make the mistake of assuming that it does not matter for their business.

“Americans performed 15.5 billion searches in 2010, and around 80 percent of customers research a product or service before making a purchase,” Husayni says, whose free SEO services include a site analysis. “So it doesn’t matter if you are offering dog grooming services, consulting or selling exotic cars, you want potential clients to be able to find you.”

As one illustration of SEO’s relevance, he says being found at the top of Google search results in the orthodontic field, depending on location, can increase yearly income $50,000 to $300,000.

SEO Produces Results…Over Time
Another objection Husayni hears repeatedly is that SEO does not produce results because they worked with an SEO company for six weeks and there was no change in the search engine results.

“If people expect huge results in a very short period of time, they are bound to be disappointed,” he says. “Search engine optimization is an ongoing process that takes time, especially if the website has been in trouble for bad SEO practices in the past.”

While some clients see results quicker, significant results take around three to nine months, although that is influenced by the client market and strength and the client’s background, according to Saeed Khosravi, the operational manager at Master Google.

Husayni gets his clients to the top search engine results though, and he fully guarantees his work.

Here is what one of Master Google clients, Paul Kariniemi, a co-owner of Retrofoam of Arizona says about his experience: “With all the used car sales types out their pushing SEO on business owners, I must say it’s been refreshing to deal with true SEO professionals who deliver real, quantifiable results.”

Return On Investment Is Significant
Some people look at search engine results page rank to gauge whether the SEO is working, while others attempt to measure the return on investment in other ways, wrongly concluding that the investment does not pay off.

“We can precisely measure the increase in site traffic within the time the client signs up for SEO,” says Husayni, who shares free website optimization tips on his blog. “The bottom line is higher ranks on Google result in more targeted traffic which translates to more sales.”

Master Google provides clients with weekly ranking reports as one tool to track changes in keyword ranking on Google and other search engines. With the correct system in place, businesses can measure their campaign success based on the sales calls they generate from the Internet. SEO by far has the best ROI compared to other forms of advertisement.

Eagan, MN orthodontist Jennifer Eisenhuth had been with two SEO companies prior to Master Google and neither company could get her practice past page two of Google search results. After signing up with Husayni, she saw new patient exams from the Internet go up 500 percent from year to year, with new patient revenue from Internet case startups more than 400 percent during the same time frame.

Not Every SEO Company Over Promises And Under Delivers
One of the biggest obstacles to signing up new clients is that they have usually had bad experiences with other SEO companies before coming to Master Google. Some of them might have fallen prey to black hat SEO, techniques that exploit SEO Google guidelines and bring harsh penalties from search engines when discovered.

Two examples of these bad techniques are keyword stuffing and link farming. Keyword stuffing is creating content consisting of keywords and nothing else, no relevant content or meaningful text. Link farms are sites that sell businesses link space. These pages often have no real content and contain hundreds or thousands of links to other sites that are totally unrelated.

“I understand that a lot of business owners have been burned by SEO companies before, which is why I show them similar businesses in similar markets that we have helped,” says Husayni. “Then, I ask them to contact those people and hear for themselves what we did for them.”

Matthew Smillie, who owns Aruba Villa Vacation Homes, says other SEO companies let him down but that Master Google did what they said they would. “I highly recommend Ali Husayni’s company,” he says on the testimonials page on the Master Google website.

Husayni offers a free SEO consultation to people who are interested in finding out how they can SEO their site. Even though the testimonials alone practically sell his services, Husayni also offers clients a 100 percent money-back guarantee if he does not deliver on the results he promised.

Ali Husayni recently had an article published in The McGill Advisory.

Tampa, FL — Our resident professional SEO expert, Ali Husayni, has had an article published in the July issue of The McGill Advisory, a prestigious monthly publication geared toward orthodontists and dentists.

Husayni’s article explains how dentists and orthodontists- or any business, for that matter- can create a successful Internet search engine strategy for themselves.

“Every year, more dentists and orthodontists who have websites see how significant a role the Internet plays in attracting new patients,” says Husayni. “I felt that by providing some information on SEO link popularity and other SEO-related topics, it would be helpful to practices who are interested in bolstering their Web presence.”

Furthermore, Husayni knew the information he provided might also help doctors determine whether providing quality SEO services for themselves was a task they could tackle alone, or if they needed to turn to a SEO consulting firm to achieve their goals, he says.

“Sometimes providing a road map for SEO services has the opposite effect of giving a business owner the confidence to try making some changes and improvements on their own,” Husayni says. “Sometimes it actually shines a light on how much you don’t know about SEO, and provides the tipping point that prompts you to turn to a professional.”

Either way, Husayni is happy to provide the information, he says.

Husayni’s article shares information about recent changes in Google’s algorithm that might affect business’s website rankings. Here at Master Google, we help clients stay abreast of their sites’ rankings by providing weekly SEO ranking reports.

The article also covers information on Google’s anti-spam strategy, and it sheds light on the difference between “black hat” and “white hat” SEO techniques. It also explains what it could mean if your website is ranked on Page 1, but drops off the first page unexpectedly, as well as what fluctuations in your site’s rank might mean.

“The only thing not changing with SEO is that it’s always changing,” Husayni says. “It is my hope that the article makes that point clear to dentists and orthodontists and prompts them either to be diligent in keeping up with those changes as they handle their site’s SEO, or to partner with a qualified SEO provider to handle that task for them.”

The McGill Advisory costs $20 per issue for individual issues, or $227 for an annual subscription. Dentists and orthodontists interested in subscribing to The McGill Advisory can contact the publication for more information, (888) 249-7537, or visit their website: www.mcgillhillgroup.com.

Small businesses can increase their chances of success and prospirity by ranking well on Google's first page. In local markets, that'd be Google Places. Learn how to get there.

Gmail, Adwords, Analytics, Google+, Places, Images and Videos are only a handful of services Google offers the business world. Small and yet successful businesses have long used these tools to further succeed in their ventures.

But Google also poses a big challenge for everyone who wants to gain business from them. It’s way too complicated.

Google adds new services way too often- sometimes faster than business owners can learn about them. Yet, many of its important features, such as its standard search, change drastically over time, making it difficult for companies to stay up to speed. Even JC Penny and Walmart couldn’t predict Google’s behavior and lost a great deal of business as a result.

One way to approach this obstacle is to identify which of these services is vital to your business and use it to your advantage.

Without a doubt, Google Places (combined with organic SEO) is the most important for small businesses. Why? Because if your site is among the top five listings on Google Places, your customers will find you. It won’t matter if you don’t know how to use Adwords, Analytics, or Google+.

Being seen at the top of search results is equivalent to purchasing a large, eye-catching ad in your local Yellow Pages that everyone owned 10 years ago. If your ad was the first, your phone would not stop ringing.

If your business is listed high on Google Places, you will witness firsthand Google’s power to send customers your way. In a survey we performed, our clients that appeared on Google Places showed an increase of $45,000-to $274,000 in their annual revenue compared with when they didn’t show up on Google Places. On average, they spent just a small fraction of that money promoting their site. No other advertising method can beat that.

Now, the question is how to get on Google Places. Or, if you are already there, then how do you improve your rank to reach that number one spot?

If you are not listed, the first thing you ought to do is register your business with Google. The steps are simple and are explained in this video: how to get on Google Places.

If you are listed but you’re not at the top, then you need to improve your business’s reputation online. Here is the blueprint for accomplishing just that:

1- Get your customers to write positive reviews for you on your Google Places page. If they search for your business name along with the city you are listed under in Google Maps and then click on the letter associated with your business, a window will open at the top of your listing on the map that has a rating stars link. Clicking on the rating stars will get you to the reviews page. If you don’t have any reviews yet, then there will be a “write a review” link in this window.

2- Add the +1 button to your site’s pages and encourage your friends, family and customers to +1 your site. This will improve your site’s ranking on Google (for those who +1’ed your site’s page and those in their Google+ circles).

3- Improve your site’s link popularity. This means running a campaign that gets you natural, quality links from related Web sites. Since this is going to be the most important factor in helping you rank better on Google Places, I’ll explain it in greater depth in an upcoming article.

Keep your questions in mind and stay tuned.

Ali Husayni (SEO, SEM and SMM expert) discusses how the Internet marketing firm helps businesses improve their SEO ranking.

Los Angeles, CALIFORNIA - Over the past couple of months, we have discussed different areas of Internet marketing. We have shared information about social media marketing and search engine marketing, and in our third installment of this series, we cover search engine optimization.

SEO is the term used to describe how companies such as ours maximize the number of visitors to a website by getting the site to rank high on organic search results.

“It is imperative that the Internet marketing business you choose to provide SEM, SEO or social media marketing services is a reputable company that does not use black hat SEO techniques,” says Ali Husayni, founder of Master Google.

Following is a bit of information on how we help our clients achieve top SEO results.

Keywords
Most clients come to us with some idea of the keywords they want associated with their businesses.

“We work with the client to brainstorm keyword phrases and conduct research to get a long list of words potential customers likely are searching for,” Husayni says. “We also look at a client’s competitors to determine the types of keywords they are using.”

From there, we begin to review, categorize and compare search volume and competitiveness of the main keywords. Finally, we prioritize each client’s keyword phrases based on relevance and their propensity to drive traffic and sales.

Optimization
A variety of work is done to a client’s site when we optimize it. We create a sitemap.xml file and submit it to Google Webmaster Tools, and we create/update the HTML sitemap page of our clients’ websites.

We also make sure that search engines are not blocked through no-index meta tags, robots.txt files, or anything else that blocks search engines from accessing and indexing the website.

Google doesn’t like duplicate content, so we remove any duplicate content on our clients’ sites and replace it with fresh, original content.

We also remove any black hat SEO techniques that have been done to the site, and we create a blog for each client, as well as install SEO and Sitemap plug-ins. We add a “most recent blog post” section to the home page, which is important for freshening content.

“The list of steps we take to optimize a client’s site is much longer, but these are some general tasks that we do,” Husayni says.

Link Building
“Link building is a vital part of the overall professional SEO process,” Husayni says. Getting relevant links back to the client’s website is important.

Jolina Pettice, a senior account manager with TopRank Online Marketing, says “inbound links are like electricity for search visibility,” and we agree with her.

We build links for our clients by generating quality content, linking up with marketing partners and often through promotion via social networks.

Tie In Social Media Efforts
It was big news recently when Google and Bing disclosed that social links and social media influences have an impact on search results.

“Social media outlets such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Vimeo- just to name a few- provide additional ways in which our clients can get their information out to potential customers. The great thing about posting items such as videos, articles and press releases to these sites is that doing so provides relevant links back to our clients’ sites,” Husayni says.

Because so many people use social media these days, posting items via these outlets creates a number of opportunities for the information to be promoted by others when they choose to share it with their friends.

Google Places
If you are trying to be found by your customers/patients locally, Google Places is the answer. This doesn’t work for companies that have a national or international client base – unless they have physical office locations in major cities. But if you are a dentist in Augusta, Georgia, being optimized on Google Places for that city certainly will help you appear high in search results when people Google “Augusta, Georgia dentist” or something else along those lines.

“Google Places is tied in to SEO, but there are some deliberate steps that must be taken to achieve the desired rankings,” Husayni says. “We offer that service to our clients.”

Husayni recently created an informative how-to video on getting the most out of Google Places. “In the coming weeks, we are going to post this video, along with directions on how we get our clients listed on Google Places,” he says.

It goes without saying that optimizing websites for Google searches is the most important goal for SEO, and that point was driven home once again recently with the announcement that Google had been named the most “reputable” company in the United States by Haris Interactive. It was followed by Johnson & Johnson, 3M, Berkshire Hathaway and Apple.

“This news is just one more reason why being ranked on Google is important,” Husayni says. “The general public views Google as reputable, and it trusts the sites that rank high on Google.”

Is your site loading fast? If not, you are losing site visitors who are impatient to wait for it to load.

For many years, we have considered a Web page’s loading speed as one of the on-site optimization criterium used by Google spiders. The faster a page loads, the better rank it will have on Google.

This was proven a day ago when Google announced that it is going to add “site speed” to Google Analytics results. Site speed will measure and report how fast each of your Web pages will load (on average) when someone visits your site.

But why is loading speed is so important?

We know the sites that have sophisticated designs, such as FLASH sites, or sites that are image or video heavy, load slower. On the other hand, sites that only have text and very minimal navigation (except through text-links) load the fastest – but text-only sites are boring.

With the Internet speed growing in average households, you’d think sites that are more beautiful should get more credit by Google, but not so fast. It is true that we now have faster Internet speed around the world compared to a few years ago, however, as Internet users, our patience for loading pages has also diminished. We leave a page quickly if it doesn’t load within a few of seconds. Or, if we really want to visit the page, we become increasingly frustrated as we wait for its content to load.

According to Pear Analytics, In 2007 Amazon conducted a test to see how the speed of your page loading affects losing traffic. The results were astonishing. For every second that your site loads slower, you lose roughly 1% of your site’s traffic. This means if you have a FLASH site and it takes 20 seconds to load, you lose 20% of your site’s visitors before they even see your site. In sales numbers, losing 20% of your potential customers is HUGE.

So, our recommendation to you is to make your site load as fast as possible to increase your page views, traffic and, consequently, sales.

Master Google’s reputation for success has brought in many new clients.

Boulder, CO – SEO company Master Google has signed up a record six new clients in the month of April, demonstrating that their business is really gaining momentum.

“Our reputation is growing as a search optimization company that can really get results for your website and your business,” explains Ali Husayni, CEO of Master Google.

Businesses are increasingly aware of how important it is to optimize their search engine results and how critical their Web presence is to their overall success. “More and more businesses are realizing the power of SEO and the importance of Google in their success,” notes Husayni.

“Everyone wants their piece of the pie.”

The new clients are a diverse group of businesses, including a taxi service, a real estate agent training school, a pediatric dentistry/orthodontics practice, a printing company, a heating/air conditioning company, and a shoe company. This diversity is in keeping with Master Google’s list of existing and previous clients, which includes industries such as dentistry, vacation rentals, wedding photography, psychiatry, email archiving, gynecology, electric cigarettes, engineering and many others.

Over the past three years, Web SEO company Master Google has doubled its revenue each year. The company is on track to do so again in 2011. “It’s important that we build a relationship with each client so that they understand what we’re doing and how we’re helping their business to grow,” Husayni remarks. “We will provide the same high quality service to ALL of our clients – old and new. We refuse to sacrifice the quality of our work just because the quantity of our clients has increased.”

Master Google has turned away many prospective clients that it felt could not fully benefit from the company’s SEO services. “The qualification process is vigorous,” says Husayni. “We look at the prospects’ prior SEO experience, their competition on Google, how user-friendly their website is and many other factors.”

For instance, Husayni recently turned away a Los Angeles dentist whose site was not up to the standards of the Web. “We told the dentist and his team that with their current site they could not benefit from a high Google rank because site visitors would be discouraged from contacting them. They needed to build a new site first.”

Master Google’s success is due to its utmost care for each and every client. The team, in general, and Husayni, in particular, ensure that everything they do will benefit their clients. “All search engine optimization firms can provide meta tag updates while inserting keywords,” observes Husayni. “But Master Google will go the extra mile to really understand your business and tailor each strategy to your organization’s needs. That is why our company keeps growing.”

I moved to Orange County to explore the area and I have been surprised to find out just how many businesses are seeking professional help with SEO. We run a national campaign but, since my arrival here a month ago, I’ve had at least 20 businesses approach me who were looking to hire a professional Google SEO company. Of course, not all of them signed up, but having four clients from Los Angeles and San Diego within one month is great – given that I don’t have a big network here yet.

Most of those who signed up are interested in the local market (Google Places) and some in Pay-Per-Click (Google Adwords). I also signed up one client who is interested in a national campaign.

Hmmm… I may decide to make Los Angeles my permanent home after all. It seems I’m more appreciated here than in Colorado. The only thing I don’t like is the traffic.

We always knew duplicate content can hurt your rankings on Google, but now it hurts more. Avoid it by all means.

Yesterday, The Wall Street Journal featured an article by Sara Needleman and Amir Efrati on the new Google algorithm update. They interviewed a few business owners who had lost their Google ranking and, consequently, a lot of their business from Google users due to the latest Google algorithm update (this happened in late 2010).

Not only did our clients not lose their rankings, but the they have gained rankings instead.

Here is why: Google has traditionally devalued “duplicate” content. If your site’s content has been copied from any other site indexed by Google, your site would be penalized severely – even if portions of your site are duplicate. Read the blog post I wrote on duplicate content syndrome.

So, the respected writers needed to emphasize that the SEO companies that these mid-size and giant corporations are working with were not paying attention to this SEO-101 lesson.

I suggest they interview some of our clients next time, too.

Amongst the clients that gained in rank were www.mavenlive.com for their very competitive keywords including: physical therapy software. Today, they’re ranking #1 in Canada and #3 worldwide.

We didn’t have a single client lose their rankings with Google.

Search engine marketing promotes websites through pay-per-click advertising, paid placement and contextual advertising, says Ali Husayni, a search engine optimization expert.

ORANGE COUNTY, CA – Recently, we wrote about how Internet marketing is made up these days of three elements: social media marketing, search engine marketing and search engine optimization.

Today, we’re tackling the element of search engine marketing and what it means to businesses who have an Internet presence.

Search engine marketing promotes websites through pay-per-click advertising, paid placement and contextual advertising, says Ali Husayni, our resident SEO expert who founded Master Google.

When it comes to PPC advertising, Google Adwords and Facebook are popular- and arguably successful- marketing platforms, Husayni says.

AdWords
Google AdWords enables you to create advertisements that show up on relevant Google search results pages and the network of Google’s partner sites, according to information posted by Google.

You may wonder how Google Adwords works. Bright Hub explains it as a service that enables you to market your website via customized, premium placed advertisement links. These advertisements appear at the top and on the right side of Google’s direct search results pages, and they appear as a result of keywords the advertiser has associated with their ad. The ads also appear on blogs and other websites that utilize Google Adsense and contain your keywords used in your advertisement.

How much you spend on this type of advertising is completely up to you, but costs vary according to the competitiveness of your keywords. You only pay when a user clicks your ad- hence, the name pay-per-click.

“The more you spend, and the more wisely you spend, the more people will visit your site,” Husayni says.

Paid placement enables you as an advertiser to bid payments to a search engine so your service or product is visible in keyword search results. With Google Adwords, bidding higher than others for a specific keyword can enable your ads to rank higher on Google search engine page results than ads from your competitors who aren’t paying as much per click.

“Google AdWords is as important as SEO,” Husayni says. “That’s because there are people who only click on the advertisements, and not the organic search results, and vice versa. Participating in both enables businesses to capture everyone on their search results.”

Our research indicates that although 70 percent of Internet users ignore the “sponsored links” altogether, the majority of the rest only rely on ads to find the services and products they’re looking for.

“So, not having an SEM campaign means you’re losing potentially 30 percent of your clients to your competitors,” Husayni adds.

Facebook Ads
“Facebook ads have become a hot topic,” says Husayni, a top SEO expert. “You can specifically target a demographic that you want. It’s very sophisticated.”

With more than 500 million users, Facebook has become a force to be reckoned with. The social media site allows you as an advertiser to be extremely specific in selecting your target audience by enabling you to select people in certain age groups, in particular geographic locations and with specific interests. The advertising mechanism also provides a great deal of flexibility.

“You can try an ad for a few hours or a couple of days and if it doesn’t generate the traffic you had hoped for, you can alter your audience,” Husayni says.

You can control the advertising cost by setting daily budgets, and they can be adjusted whenever you choose. Like Adwords, you can choose a PPC option, or you can pay per time that your ad is seen.

LinkedIn is growing in popularity, and businesses can use it to grow their client base, as well as increase traffic to their company websites.

BOULDER, COLORADO – Although it has been around for nine years, LinkedIn has picked up steam lately as yet another social media outlet that can assist businesses in promoting themselves and finding new customers.

SEO expert Ali Husayni, founder of Master Google, said there are ways in which the social media outlet can help businesses gain customers.

LinkedIn- A Brief History
First, a bit about LinkedIn. Created in 2002 and officially launched in May 2003, it is the world’s largest professional network, according to the LinkedIn website.

LinkedIn is sometimes unofficially referred to as “Facebook for professionals.” As of March 2011, it had more than 100 million users located in 200 countries. LinkedIn users conducted nearly two billion people searches last year.

Gaining Clients Via LinkedIn
“When you have an outlet with so many users, you have an opportunity to gain clients,” Husayni said. “Add to that the fact that it appears LinkedIn is becoming increasingly savvy regarding SEO for its users and the effect on Google ranking, and as an SEO expert, suddenly you have my attention.”

Randy Schrum, president of a social media solutions company dubbed My Corporate Media, shared information in a recent webinar on tips to jumpstart an individual’s LinkedIn presence.

Schrum recommends using a professional photo as your profile picture. It also is important to complete your social profile by including an engaging headline that explains to people how you can help, he said. He suggests including keywords in this headline.

Husayni said businesses and professionals, such as dentists, orthodontists, realtors and attorneys, could use these same methods to promote the services they offer. It appears to Husayni that the developers at LinkedIn clearly understand the power of search tools and are seeking to increase that power on LinkedIn.

“I believe that is the reason why they recently added a new section in which users can enter information about their skills and assets,” Husayni says.

This new section allows users to highlight those things that separate them from the pack, so to speak. Users can enter languages they speak, patents, certifications and publications. Businesses can use this section to enter the types of services offered, because LinkedIn enables users to search companies by attributes, descriptions and more. Spotlighting these items moves personal and business profiles up in search queries, according to information posted on the LinkedIn Web site.

“Entering keywords into your profile information is like a mini, do-it-yourself search engine optimization campaign,” Husayni says. “This has the potential to help businesses and professionals attract clients when potential clients conduct searches on the site.”

When optimizing a profile on LinkedIn, the person with the most keywords wins, Schrum said in the webinar. For example, a realtor in Seattle who wants to appear first on search results for “Seattle Realtor” simply needs to look at the profile that ranks first in that search result, see how many times that phrase is used in their profile, and use it more times than their competitor.

Why Bother?
“Why not?” Husayni questioned. “Why not use all of the tools at your disposal?”

For business owners who are interested in SEO, it is important to note that profile information on LinkedIn can be fully indexed on Google, which can help a business improve its Google ranking. To take full advantage of this, make sure your profile is fully public, according to an article posted on 10slate.com.

“This is another outlet in which you can use targeted keywords to make sure your page contains words that people are actually searching,” said Husayni, a top SEO expert. “For our SEO clients, this is another avenue where our keyword research for their businesses can be applied.”

Don't fall into the trap of companies that have catchy titles on their ads. Be watchful.

I just saw an advertisement from a link-building company, titled “10,000,000 backlinks,” on my Facebook page. I love these ads. They make me laugh, but they may end up making you cry.

The rest of the ad says:

“That’s how many links we’ve developed for our clients in 4 years. How many do you want?…”

Wow… catchy title and catchy ad (also has a good looking girl as a picture , which initially grabbed my attention). But wait a minute, in 2 years we were able to build our site , Mastergoogle.com, 60,000 links. I thought that was plenty until I saw this ad. So, immediately I thought, let’s find out how many links these people have. So, I went to Yahoo! Site Explorer Tool and looked them up.

I laughed even more. They have only 50 links. Then I removed the number of links that they are giving themselves. The count ended up at 32 links.

So here, I’d like to give them another link to make that 33.

See my other post on buying cheap links.

We’ve posted a lot of information about how to get quality links for your site. I’m going to make some videos within the next few weeks on this topic as well. Stay tuned.

Some say the lifespan of SEO services is limited, and have predicted the demise of SEO companies at some point. Our expert says it is not true.

Orange County, CA – It is a topic tossed around from time to time in the world of Internet business – is SEO going to die one day? Will there come a time when SEO services and SEO marketing are no longer needed?

While some naysayers might be painting a grim future for Web search engine optimization, top SEO expert Ali Husayni says there is most certainly a place for the high quality SEO specialist in the future of the Internet.

“While the role of SEO is constantly evolving, and there are those disreputable companies that may not survive, the use of SEO with quality Web content is solid,” Husayni said.

Richard J. Tofe’s article “Someday, the sun will set on SEO — and the business of news will be better for it” indicates there is no future for SEO. He “looks toward a future when search engine optimization has been rendered obsolete by advancing technology” and “the implications for news.”

“What this entire debate misses,” Tofe writes, “is that SEO itself is an inefficiency, a transaction cost rather than a value-creator — it is a technique designed entirely to compensate for the failure of the search engine to correctly analyze site content, searcher desire, or both. Over time, economics teaches us, inefficiencies tend to be wrung out, and transaction costs reduced.

Husayni responds, “Google is an artificial intelligent (AI) super-machine, able to analyze content which is manually created by human intelligence. This is a recipe for inefficiency. A machine is never going to be 100 percent accurate in analyzing human art and intelligence. Google will always make mistakes, and will be prone to manipulation by human intelligence (SEO).

“So, Google will always need white hat SEO, and is always going to be fighting black hat SEO.”

Google has asked site owners to use “rich snippets” so it can rank businesses on Google Places easier. It has opened yet another door for manipulating its data — sharp SEO experts now use this to help clients rank better with Google Places.

As Google tightens the reins on sites that offer useless information, some experts lump all SEO operations into one category and declare their time is almost over. Does SEO, dubbed by critics as the “dark side of online publishing,” deserve the criticism? Complaints are aimed toward writing fashioned to draw Web search hits, content tagging to point to topics, and the demise of witty headlines in favor of keyword-laden titles. “Content farms” are also under fire – designed to draw hits to sites for commercial reasons and not because the Web needs the repetitive content.

“This is purely black hat SEO — feeding content to Google that is used mainly as bait for commercial gain,” Husayni said.

Tofe further wrote, “Improved search, and diminished SEO, should tend to place a greater value on such readers, elevating content of higher value, higher quality and, therefore, higher cost.”

For SEO companies that maintain high standards of content and quality search results, this is not a scary prediction. “If SEOs that practice higher standards rise to the top and content farms and SEO companies that are low quality sink, that’s all right with us,” Husayni said.

The SEO Google analyst said “We focus on improving client site value with viewers, as well as Google. By optimizing sites and gaining valuable and trustworthy links across the Internet, we improve Google rankings, eventually landing on the first page of Google. We are not here to trick Google into accepting client sites as best. We are here to make our client sites the best.”

In the past couple of months, you likely have noticed a significant change in the organic search results on Google. Now Google Places results are blended with organic search results.

In the past couple of months, you likely have noticed a significant change in the organic search results on Google. Now Google Places results are blended with organic search results. This change came as a result of Google’s ongoing effort to provide relevant search results. It also is based on research that shows more than 20 percent of queries are local, says Mat Balez, a Google product manager (http://www.neilshearing.com/2011/01/17/google-changes-seo-game/). It was tested in August 2010 and introduced to the world in October.

What does this mean for SEO, you ask? Obviously, Google is trending toward a stronger focus on local searches.

It also means that there is an effort by Google to provide results from “established, verified businesses to crowd out results from new and unverified websites,” says Neil Shearing, author of an Internet marketing strategies blog (http://www.neilshearing.com/2011/01/17/google-changes-seo-game/). Google is showing that it wants verified, actual businesses to be listed over unverified websites.

“This is just another step Google has taken to become even more sophisticated,’” says Ali Husayni, CEO of Master Google and an SEO expert. “Now, in order for you to be at the top of Google, if you are targeting local keywords, you need traditional organic SEO, plus the registration and the improvement of your business rank with Google Places, Google’s business directory.”

Husayni, who offers SEO consulting services, says businesses that want to be found easily with these Google Places changes should do the following:

Claim your Google Places listing.

Add videos, photos, menus and coupons to your Places listing.

Add your business to all local Web directories.

Encourage your clients/customers to write reviews about your business by using Google Maps, Hotpot (http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2011/01/now-available-google-places-with-hotpot.html), or their Android phones.

We know that you tend to search for places around you, says Husayni, whose company helps businesses appear on the 1st page of Google in organic search results, adding, “We are constantly changing our methods of achieving first page results for clients, because Google is constantly changing its algorithms.”

This latest change is because Google wants to make it as easy as possible to find the right places for people, Balez says. Hotpot, a new local recommendation engine, allows users to rate and review places they visit, and this will help people continue to find places they like.

Master Google SEO expert Ali Husayni says there are many reasons not to do SEO yourself unless you truly know what you’re doing.

Boulder, CO - Do-it-yourself projects are popular. There are entire websites and cable channels devoted to the subject.

But, when it comes to achieving the best SEO results for your company, “do-it-yourself may not be the way to go, unless you know exactly what you’re doing,” said Ali Husayni, Master Google’s founder and SEO specialist.

Following are several reasons why Husayni says it is best to entrust your Google ranking to an Internet marketing SEO firm, instead of taking on the task yourself.

Purchasing Your Own SEO Software Is Not A Good Idea

Although it could be less expensive than hiring an SEO firm, you won’t get the same level of quality with SEO software. The software is an automated program based on general SEO standards and this brings several issues to light.

SEO standards are different across the search engine world. What works for Google doesn’t necessarily work for Yahoo! and other search engines. What search engine is your software targeting?

Just like any other automated approach, SEO software “generalizes” the SEO work, leaving out the details that are better detected by the human eye. This makes the software- regardless of its price- less valuable than human touch.

SEO software usually covers on-site optimization, but that’s only about 10-20 percent of the SEO work required to optimize a site for Google. The remainder rests with off-site work such as link-building, which cannot be done automatically.

“If you go with a reputable SEO firm, they already are invested in the necessary SEO equipment and knowledge,” he says.

Time is Money

As a business owner, do you want to focus your time and attention on your customers, or on learning SEO?

“I frequently say it is better to focus your time and talents in the areas where you already have expertise and hire others gifted in the areas where your business needs improvement,” Husayni says. “Just as I don’t handle my company’s finances myself, I don’t expect my CPA to do their own SEO work.”

Writing Content Can Be A Challenge

We’ve said it a million times, but only because it is true- content is king. If you are not a writer by trade, creating content can seem like a daunting task.

Quality SEO firms, such as ours, include the ongoing job of content development in our SEO services, which is helpful for those who do not want to be responsible for their own content generation.

Getting Lost In A Sea Of Possibilities

If you are unaware that effective SEO requires a multi-faceted approach, do-it-yourself SEO is not for you. SEO involves inbound links, internal website optimization and white-hat-techniques, just to name a few elements. Potentially, you could sink months into learning about these elements and still not derive any benefit from your efforts.

If any of these terms sound like a foreign language to you, turn to a professional instead of trying to take on this task yourself.

Lack of Technical Knowledge

Experience is the key to success with SEO. Many who attempt the do-it-yourself approach lack the technical knowledge necessary to understand all the facets of successful search engine optimization.

“They don’t know what they don’t know,” Husayni says. “That’s why there is such a demand for SEO firms today.”

Husayni says hiring a reputable professional eliminates the possibility of following old, outdated SEO advice that you may stumble upon on the Internet. It also increases the likelihood that your SEO efforts will be done properly the first time, rather than doing something wrong by yourself and, potentially, getting your site banned by Google.

“Each day and with each new client we help, we learn something new about Google and its SEO requirements,” Husayni says. “Our approach changes many times during the year, and most of the techniques that worked two years ago are now obsolete.

“Has helping more than 500 sites rank on Google given us ‘Google SEO wisdom?’ You bet.”

Businesses can obtain and maintain higher search engine rankings with SEO companies, as opposed to the more distasteful method of attracting negative publicity deliberately, expert says.

BOULDER, CO - A news story circulating major media outlets recently highlighted the issue of negative publicity and its connection to higher Google rankings – a reality that has caused some serious problems for many consumers.

An article in the New York Times detailed the problems one consumer faced when she came across an unscrupulous business owner in her quest to order some eyeglasses. She was cheated and sought official help. The business welcomed negative publicity because any feedback- good or bad- helped with rankings.

While many respected SEO companies work with businesses to help them get top SEO rankings, the business featured in this article went another route – one that caused problems deliberately.

SEO service Master Google’s Ali Husayni says he has faith that companies that get attention due to mistreating customers will not succeed.

“In the long run, being a reputable company that uses appropriate SEO to draw customers in goes a lot farther than treating customers poorly and trying to take advantage of the search system,” Husayni says.

Google addressed the problem in a blog, and provided tips on how to avoid experiencing difficulties. The blog points out there are things consumers can do to protect themselves, and that Google took steps to try and alleviate the problem.

“…in the last few days we developed an algorithmic solution (that) detects the merchant from the … article along with hundreds of other merchants that, in our opinion, provide an extremely poor user experience,” says the blog. “The algorithm .. incorporated into our search rankings, represents an initial solution …Google users are now getting a better experience as a result.”

There are many consumer review sites available online, and the savvy consumer will conduct research to find out if others have had problems with a business prior to entrusting them with credit card information. As for the future of companies that seek bad postings to get higher rankings, Husayni says their standing on the Web is not solid.

“It is true that people have profited heavily by ‘tricking’ or ‘spamming’ Google in the past,” Husayni says, “but Google history shows that those companies and businesses never survived its algorithm updates. This case is a great example and a good reason why people should do business ethically.”

A better way to boost rankings, he says, is for businesses to seek reputable search engine optimization firms who use “white-hat” SEO techniques.

The world of online commerce is changing constantly, and search engine optimization firms are rising to meet the needs of businesses seeking to make the most of it. Are they necessary?

BOULDER, CO - The Internet is changing all the time, and along with it, the way businesses operate, advertise and function online also fluctuates – so much that professionals may wonder if they need to hire search engine optimization firms to help them out.

Many people may think right away they can do it themselves. Why pay someone outside their company?

“That is very common thinking,” says expert Ali Husayni. “Business people often assume that if they have computer experts as employees, that’s all they need in order to obtain top Google ranking for their industry. But the reality is that businesses like ours are in operation for a very good reason. We are needed, and we make a big difference.”

Is this just a sales pitch? Not at all, says Husayni, who works to build trust with clients with his offer of a money back guarantee. There are many who have had a bad experience with an SEO company, or fear they might have the misfortune of ending up with a disreputable company.

Robin Bingeman, of Forensic & Compliance Systems (FCS), makers of Cryoserver, says he has had a positive experience in retaining an SEO.

“Master Google has expertise in SEO, and is a caring organization interested in our business and guiding us with optimizing our web presence,” he says. “We would highly recommend Master Google to anyone, including our customers.”

It is worth the effort to identify and retain a solid SEO company, Husayni says, because they really are a necessity. If you hire an SEO company, you will be given website traffic reports and ranking reports, letting you know just where you are in position on the search engines. If you have hired the right company, you will see improvements.

“It is as simple as that,” Husayni says. “But SEO itself is not simple. A good company knows what Google is looking for.”

There is a cost benefit to hiring an SEO service. Clients are often provided with guaranteed rankings, and projected dates on when they can see success.

“Time is money,” Husayni says. “Clients can rely on a good SEO company to get rankings up within a certain amount of time, and often are provided with a guarantee of delivery on those improvements. It can provide you with peace of mind, for no hassle optimization. We combine our expertise and skill in Google ranking with the experience of working with our highly skilled writers to compile press releases and articles.”

“I see the business of my clients as my own business, one and the same, so I work hard for us all to obtain the best results,” Husayni says. “Their success is literally my success.”

A good SEO company makes it their job to stay up-to-date on what’s new in the industry, to help you obtain and maintain a higher ranking on Google.

“Most businesses have other things to worry about than how to rank higher on search engines,” Husayni says. “If you are not a builder, you are probably going to hire someone to build your house. If you are not a doctor, you are going to see a physician if you are sick. If you want higher rankings, see an SEO expert.”

“If you have hired a good one, you can just sit back and enjoy the benefits of higher rankings. It is well worth it to try.”

Broken links can cause problems for businesses, frustrate customers, reflect poorly on the company’s image and have a negative impact on Google rankings.

BOULDER, CO - All Internet users have experienced the frustration of clicking on a Web link to find information, only to be disappointed by a message such as “Page Not Found.” SEO expert Ali Husayni, of Master Google, offers tips on how companies can avoid disappointed customers – and Google ranking drops – because of broken links.

Husayni, President and CEO of the Google SEO company, offers insight into broken links and solutions to avoid them. “If a page is listed with Google and other Web pages on the Internet link to it or the site itself, yet the page is later removed, it creates a negative experience for web surfers,” Husayni says. “When they click on the link, they reach a dead end – Such as ‘404 Error — Page Not Found.’ Google wants to improve people’s experiences on the Web, and frowns upon sites that send people nowhere.”

It is a frustrating dilemma when someone is interested in gaining information about a topic that’s posted, yet when they try to click on the link the page has been removed.

One solution can be to ask hosts of sites that link to the page you want to remove to update their links. However, this could be difficult at times if you do not have a relationship with the host site.
“Google rankings of sites with broken links are negatively impacted,” says Husayni, an SEO expert. “It could take months to regain prior, higher rankings after they have been lost. This occurs particularly when a removed page is listed within the Google XML Sitemap.”

According to Google’s Webmaster Central information pages, Sitemaps provide a way to inform Google about pages on your site that may not be discovered otherwise. An XML Sitemap is a list of your Website pages. Developing and submitting a Sitemap helps ensure that Google knows about all of your site’s pages, including URLs that might not be discoverable by way of Google’s usual crawling process.

To avoid negative results from broken links, try not to ever remove a page from your site – however this is not always easy to do, Husayni says. And if one is removed, use a 301 redirect to tell Google spiders that the page is removed.

Google recommends that if you need to change a page’s URL as shown in the search engine results, that you use a server-side 301 redirect. Google’s Webmaster Central information pages say this is an ideal way to ensure that users and search engines are directed to the right page. The 301 status code means the page has moved permanently to a new location.

The 301 redirects are most useful if you have moved your site to a new domain, and want to make the most seamless transition. When people reach your site through different URLs, if your home page can be reached in many ways, then it is good to select one of the URLs as a preferred (canonical) destination, and use 301 redirects to send traffic from other URLs to the preferred URL. You may use Webmaster Tools to set your preferred domain.

It also is helpful to use 301 redirects if you are merging two websites and want to make sure that links to outdated URLs are redirected to the right pages.

To implement a 301 redirect for Websites hosted on servers running Apache, you will need access to your server’s .htaccess file. If you are unsure about your access or server software, check with your web host. You may consult the Apache Tutorial and the Apache URL Rewriting Guide for more information, Google advises on its Webmaster Central pages. If your site is hosted on a server running other software, check with your host for details.

Addressing the issue of broken links is worth the time and effort to resolve. It can help avoid frustration from customers who visit your site and prevent drops in rankings.

UPDATE – Dec. 1: The $99 SEO package is now offered for free.

This $99 SEO service benefits you if:

- Your site did not qualify for our Free SEO package
- You did not want to sign up for our guaranteed SEO packages

For over a year, we have offered Free SEO to every site owner who met our basic requirements. But recently, we got so over whelmed with over 30 inquiries a day that our team was unable to provide the needed SEO service to everyone. So we decided to add an additional requirement: Free SEO only for sites that have a Google Page Rank (PR) of 2+.

Since we’ve made this change, we have to refuse Free SEO services to 20+ Web sites a day. Until now, the only option for these sites was to sign up for our paid SEO packages. But not everyone can afford to invest in high-quality SEO services.

So, we came up with a solution for those who want to benefit from our SEO services, but neither have sufficient budget to invest nor have a site with a PR 2+: our $99 SEO package.

The $99 SEO service guarantees your site will be moving up on Google and other search engines. This will result in more traffic coming to your site.

The services you will receive with the $99 SEO package is valued at $1,000 and includes:

- Keywords Analysis – Identifying your most important keywords based on your feedback as well as your site’s content
- Complete Web Site Optimization – We will optimize your entire site for better Google placement. The optimization includes:

o Monitoring your site on Google Webmaster Tools for any possible site errors and fixing them.
o Removing (X)HTML code that blocks Google from freely indexing your site
o Updating your site’s title tag, description tag, image tags, etc.|
o Adding an XML site-map to your site
o Setting up your Google Analytics so you can monitor the traffic to your site

- Sending you weekly PDF reports showing where your site is located on Google, Yahoo! and Bing

We’re working on training additional staff so we can provide this service to everyone interested. Please give us your valuable feedback and ask us if you have any questions.

If you want to choose a reliable SEO company, you should not make these mistakes when hiring an SEO company.

Update on Nov. 2, 2011 by Ali Husayni.

One: Trusting Your Web Designer

92% of Web designers claim they are SEO experts while in fact they only know bits and pieces about SEO. They read a few articles, make some changes to the site’s meta tags and claim your site is ready for Google. A few months later, you are frustrated at the lack of progress and what your Web designer tells you is that you have to wait as it takes longer for Google to rank your site.

The truth is your site may be “optimized” properly, but optimization is only 10% of the overall SEO work. The rest is hard-core link-building efforts to make your site popular on the Web.

Two: Not Looking At the Rankings of the SEO Company

If an SEO company knows its game, it ranks very well on Google for their important keywords. These keywords vary for different SEO companies; nevertheless they must have a strong organic presence on Google. If they don’t, you basically trust a cow-boy to fix your airplane.

Some important keywords for SEO companies include: SEO, Google SEO, SEO Company, SEO Services, Free SEO, Cheap SEO, Google Ranking, Top of Google, etc. (Master Google ranks on the first page for Top of Google, first page of Google, Google SEO guaranteed and many other keywords.)

Three: Not Looking At the Proven Results

Each SEO company should be able to show you at least ten local and international clients they have helped rank at the top of Google with the permission for you to contact them. The keywords they show you must be the most competitive for such clients (and not merely long-tailed keywords).

Four: Not Contacting the References

It is essential for you to pick up the phone and call a few of those clients listed as successful by the SEO company. You should ask them about the SEO company’s timeliness, its effectiveness, its ethics, and anything else you can think of. Conduct your interview carefully and then trust your hard-earned money to the SEO company.

Five: Focusing on Yahoo!, Bing

Yahoo! and Bing have a very long way to go to be able to compete with Google. Google has taken over 67% of the global search market. You could rank #1 on both Yahoo! and Bing and still lose a big chunk of your business to your rivals that rank well on Google.

From the SEO point of view, ranking on Yahoo! and Bing is much easier than ranking on Google. But those that rank well with Google also rank well with the other rivals.

When the SEO company shows you their successful SEO campaigns, be watchful. If they show you results from Bing and Yahoo!, then ask them what they have done in respect to Google. Tell them you care less for the other engines and you want your site to be at the top of Google.

Six: Not Having Guarantees in Place

If you sign up with an SEO company which does not guarantee your money back in case they fail, you’re wasting your investment. No one can guarantee your site’s ranking on Google, but good SEO companies guarantee to refund all or a portion of your money if your site is not ranked on Google within a specific time-frame.

An average time-frame for an SEO campaign to be fully successful is about six months. Low competition keywords can be placed at the top of Google within three months and international keywords could take up to one year to have the best results.

Seven: Paying in Advance

Never pay in advance for more than one month of work. Paying for a full-year of SEO work discourages the SEO company to put extra efforts in the beginning of the campaign. Therefore, your results will come later in the year. As a result you’ll lose valuable business in the first few months.

The best thing to do is to pay your SEO company on a monthly basis.

Eight: Not Seeing Ranking Reports

Most SEO companies have tools that generate automatic ranking reports. These reports show where your site is listed on Google for your specific keywords.

We provide weekly ranking reports, but you can ask your SEO company to send them to you daily, biweekly, or monthly.

Nine: Not Requesting Google Analytics

Analytics is a free tool provided by Google, which monitors your site’s traffic, its origin, the keywords visitors used to find your site and many other pieces of information. Google Analytics helps you track the traffic improvements to your site as well as monitoring the success of the SEO company you are working with.

Ten: Not Asking for Solid Link-Building Tactics

The most important Google SEO technique is link-building. Although Google prefers that your links are generated naturally, but in today’s world very few successful sites are blessed with such links. For the rest, a successful organic link-building campaign is needed to boost your site’s popularity and thus your ranking on Google.

Ask your SEO company what they do to increase your link popularity. They may not share all the details as that could jeopardize their edge over their competition, but they can give you general ideas about what they do.

The SEO company should have at least two or three different ways of getting natural links for your site. You can read my post on some of these techniques.

As always, we appreciate your feedback and questions.

We are experiencing an enormous surge in business and have a record number of clients for our SEO services.

“We have been overwhelmed by the volume of new clients,” observes Ali Husayni of Master Google. “Our search engine optimization methods have gotten such good results that more and more companies are taking notice. Every day we are getting inquiries from new clients.”

To prevent compromising service quality, our staff asks new clients to wait a month before we can begin SEO efforts. We take clients on a first-come, first-served basis. “If you’re thinking about our SEO services, the sooner you sign up, the sooner we can start improving your Google ranking,” says Husayni.

Husayni attributes the company’s explosive growth to a variety of factors. “Our clients experience terrific results and recommend us to friends and colleagues. We also enjoy a Top of Google ranking for vital keywords.”

“Ali Husayni and his team at Master Google have proven their worth to us,” says Dr. Winburn of www.mavenlive.com. “Because of Ali and his team we now have first page placement for almost all our keywords and this has resulted in a 5 fold increase in traffic to our site.”

Our well-known “Top of Google” package guarantees (in most cases) that we’ll get your site within the top five Web sites on Google’s 1st page for your company’s main keyword. If we can’t get the site among the top five in a few months, we will refund 100% of our fees.

We are also famous for the free SEO services we give small businesses.

“We have improved rankings on Google and other search engines for more than 700 Web sites – employing a 100% free SEO service (valued at $1,000). Eligibility only necessitates a site with a page rank of 2 and your agreement to place our link on your site,” explains Husayni.

Part II focuses on links as the major factor in a site's rank on Google search results. We're sharing some of our link-building techniques so everyone can benefit.

(Revised on Dec. 5, 2011)

In the previous parts of this article I narrowed down Google’s interests into three categories: 1) content, 2) relevancy and 3) popularity. We discussed content in Part I, and relevancy in Part II of these series. Here we focus on popularity.

Popularity of a web page refers to the number and the quality of links pointing to it from other web pages on the Internet world. The more “inbound” links a site has and the more they come from reputable sites (in Google’s eyes), the better your site will rank. This is the most important factor in Google SEO.

Google’s success is mostly due to its decision to rate web pages based on the quantity and quality of the links they receive – much like the academia’s rating of a scientific article. The more an article is used as a source by other scientists, the more authoritative that article becomes.

Google uses the same rating method for all sites: the more a site gets referred to by other sites, the more authoritative it is. In other words, the more links a site has, the better rank it’ll get.

This aspect of Google’s algorithm is based on the principle that sites with good content should naturally be used as sources by other sites. But the older Google becomes, the more difficult it gets for sites to naturally generate the needed link popularity in order to rank at the top of Google search results – despite the quality of their content.

On the other hand, Google frowns upon sites that engage in “black hat” SEO to gain artificial link popularity. So, what are you to do if you want your site to compete for that #1 position in a competitive market?

The answer is not simple.

First, you cannot just sit and wait for others to link their sites to yours. That simply won’t happen. In a world where there are thousands of new sites built everyday, your prospective site visitors have no way of finding you to read your content (unless you already rank on Google). Second, you cannot just write comments on 100’s of blogs or forums to gain the popularity you need (because most of these comments and the links you gain from them have “nofollow” attribute – meaning Google gives them no value. And third, what might have worked six months ago (in successful link-building techniques), may no longer be a good practice.

But there are other ways.

At Master Google, our research and development team works everyday to discover new methods we can use to semi-artificially (and yet naturally) improve our clients link popularity and, therefore, their Google rankings. To help our readers, we share our newest techniques so you can engage in a tried-and-true link-building campaign that will help you improve your rankings on Google. And here is a list of what works for us:

Blogging: we build blogs for our clients and constantly keep them up-to-date with new posts, while linking from them to our clients’ sites.

Directories: we submit our clients’ sites to directories that have a PR3 or more. Here is a list of directories we recommend.

Articles: writing, optimizing and submitting articles to reputable sites helps us gain link popularity for all of our clients. Here is a list of article sites with good page rank.

Press Releases: writing, optimizing and submitting press releases to news sites has huge benefits for our clients. We can improve their rankings immediately when we submit releases for them. Here is a list of SEO friendly press release sites.

Freebies: we offer freebies to those site visitors that link to our clients’ sites.

Competitors: we go after those sites that are linking to our clients’ competitors and request links to our clients’ sites.

Partners: we ask our clients to request links from their partners and/or friends’ sites.

All of the above is much easier said than done. Engaging in all of these techniques requires months of hard labor, a complete understanding of SEO and, of course, cash. Nevertheless, we’ve been able to transform local, small businesses into large-international ones in a matter of a few months by practicing what we preach.

So, if you’re someone who doesn’t have the money to hire a professional SEO company (we mean us… lol), then you need to learn the ropes of SEO. With hard work it’ll take you a couple of years to master the techniques and, after investing some money and a lot of time, you’ll be able to rank your site above everyone else’s. Reading my ebook on Google SEO Secrets revealed will also help you.

Oftentimes, smart business people who have substantial financial backing will delegate important tasks to professionals, instead of spending years mastering what someone else already knows and taking away the focus from their business. If you are one of those smart business people, fill out our form and we’ll be happy to look at your site and see if it qualifies for our Top of Google program.

Google looks for fresh, original, clean copy as one of the important factors in placing sites on its database. Here, we discuss some details on this subject.

Revised on Dec. 3, 2011.

What is Google looking for when indexing and ranking your Web site?

Why is site X ranking number one while your site ranks on the fifth page?

Site X is not even a good site, so why does Google think it’s better than yours?

Is it even possible to rank your site above site X?

Google SEO is not magic. Google doesn’t favor any site over the others without clear and measurable calculations. But what are these calculations?

Matt Cutts, Google’s anti-spam guru and SEO spokesman, has said numerious times that Googlebots, or Google Spiders, evaluate over 200 criterium to identify which site should be ranked above the others. In other words, there is a clear formula that these Mega software follow and score each Web page by, assigning each site a number. This secret number sometimes correlates with Page Rank- a number from 1 to 10 given to each Web page by Google- but not always.

The list of what Google looks for on your Web page is secret, but I have narrowed down the most important factors to be what’s written on the site, optimization and inbound links. In other words:

Content + Relevancy + Popularity = Top of Google Rankings

Google’s job is to show search results for any keywords you look for. It is true that Google looks at your Web page as a whole, but, in reality, it’s mostly interested in the content of your site (i.e. text, videos, images).

You might ask “what should I change so that Google likes my content?”

The simplified answer is have lots of original, relevant and fresh content without any grammatical errors. This will support your efforts to attract inbound links.

Original Content

The most important factor is to have original content. When it comes to Google, content that is copied from other sites is a big no-no. I have seen many sites get flagged and unindexed by Google for simply having duplicate content. To protect your site if you have original content, search for it on Google to find possible sites that have copied your content. Sometimes Google makes the mistake of degrading sites with original content because others have copied it.

If you cannot keep up with those that tend to copy your text, you can solve this issue by rewriting your homepage content once a month. That way, you can ensure that you have original content at all times.

Fresh Content

Blogs and news sites are good examples of sites that have fresh content on a regular basis. But if your site’s content remains the same, it is a good idea to rewrite it at least once a month. Google announced in Nov. 2011 that it is now more interested in fresh content.

Keyword-Rich Content

Having your keywords mentioned within your content is also very important. If your site is about selling shoes, make sure you mention selling shoes or synonymous keywords within your content.

What you should stay away from, however, is repeating your keywords more than once. Google will quickly degrade your site if it feels like you’re trying to manipulate it in order to place you higher on the search engine results.

Clean Copy

If your site has grammatical or spelling mistakes, it will negatively affect your site’s ranking. The best thing to do is to hire an editor to review your site’s content. You can get this done rather cheap, sometimes for just $25 per page.

In the next part of this article, I’ll be focusing on relevancy, another important factor in Google SEO.

Master Google helps two international companies rank on the first page of organic search results in short order.

BOULDER, COLORADO — The SEO experts at Master Google recently helped two international companies achieve higher organic search result rankings in record time, thanks to the company’s SEO services.

UK-based Cryoserver made it to the first page of organic search results for its two major keywords within four months of having signed up for Master Google’s SEO services, while Prognition Corp. in Canada has seen significant results within five months.

“While it isn’t impossible, often it is more challenging to achieve SEO success for clients seeking to attract customers on a global level,” said Ali Husayni, Master Google’s founder and SEO expert. “I believe that our rapid success with these two clients proves that we are using some of the most effective SEO tools available today.”

The website for Cryoserver, which sells email archiving software, didn’t appear within the first 10 pages of Google search results when they signed up for Master Google’s services. In four months, Master Google had ranked the Cryoserver site for both of the company’s main keywords- “email archiving appliance” and “email archiving software.”

“Previously, we had almost a zero ranking,” said Cryoserver’s Robin Bingeman.

Bingeman’s expectations were to get his site onto page one of Google’s search results for his keywords.

“I would imagine if someone were to be looking for a solution that we supply, one would only look at page one or two,” he said.

Although his expectations have been met with the ranking, Bingeman said it’s still too soon to notice a difference in sales because of it. He’s optimistic, though.

Dr. Jay Winburn, president of Prognition Corp., which manufactures Mavenlive, a physical therapy software, is pleased with the results. Their new website had no Google placement on the first four pages of search results. They now rank on the first page in Canada for more than 15 keywords, including “physical therapy software.”

“We had tried doing SEO in-house and we weren’t successful at it,” Winburn said. “We ended up realizing our time could be better spent with what we’re good at instead of the stuff we didn’t know a lot about.”

Prognition originally selected another SEO firm that provided “virtually no results,” before hiring Master Google to conduct the company’s SEO campaign, he said. Since then he has found a very clear, steady progression relative to SEO results.

“In the last five months, we’re averaging more than four sign-ups a day now for trials, Winburn said.

We describe how to choose keywords for your Web site.

When you begin SEO for your Web site, you first need to select your main keywords.

Keywords are the terms that Google’s users use to seek out a Web site like yours. “For example, if an individual needs a Philadelphia orthodontist who supplies invisible braces, he or she could search for ‘orthodontist Philadelphia’ or ‘braces Philadelphia’ or ‘invisible braces Philadelphia,’” says Master Google’s Ali Husayni. “Those are all possible keywords for a Philadelphia orthodontist’s Web site.”

Some businesses need only one keyword and others use hundreds. If your list of keywords is long, you need to know how to prioritize them. The most important keywords are not always the most popular – because those are frequently very competitive. A national or international keyword like “physical therapy” is a good example.

Devoting your SEO activities and budget to just very competitive keywords means that you probably won’t get the results you’d like. You’ll get exhausted and discouraged after only a couple months. However, if you select your keywords carefully, you can make progress in a fairly short period. “Once less competitive keywords such as ‘physical therapy software’ have worked for you and your business increases, you can allocate more money to SEO and go after the more competitive keywords,” suggests Husayni.

Below are steps for compiling a list of prospective keywords:

1. Spend some time thinking of the words or phrases that guests at your Web site might employ in a Google search.
2. Search for these keywords on Google and visit the Web sites you find on the first page of your search results. Scrutinize those sites to identify other keywords you may not have already pinpointed.
3. Use Google Adwords Keyword Tool to search on one of your keywords. This tool will provide a thorough list of the keywords from the previous month that relate to your original keyword. Add these terms to your keyword list.
4. A different Adwords column displays those keywords’ volume for the past month. So you can learn which keywords were the most popular that month. The greater the search volume, the more vital that keyword is.
5. Some keywords will have fewer than 1,000 searches per month. Delete them from your list. They usually aren’t worth your time.

What you have left is your list of keywords. These keywords can help rank your Web site on any search engine; however, we only work with Google.

Another option is signing up for a service like WordTracker.com whose function is to help you find and evaluate keywords. WordTracker.com can also supply a service similar to Google Adwords Keyword Tool.

We have enjoyed more success recently at getting client’s Web sites to the top of Google’s rankings than in any other time in our history.

We are experiencing greater success in placing our clients’ Web sites at the top of Google than in any other time in our existence. This success is the result of carefully honing our skills in optimizing complex sites and improving their rank on Google.

We employ a unique combination of press releases, articles, and SEO blogs to continuously update each client site’s content. Our sophisticated link building methods have permitted us to help many clients move into Google’s upper echelons.

“We never stop working to improve our SEO services to our clients,” Ali Husayni notes. “Google rank and SEO optimization are crucial to a successful Web site. Our staff works diligently to make sure that each site receives the meticulous attention that improves these rankings. It’s a thrill to see our efforts bearing fruit. Now our clients will see better results more quickly than ever.”

We have also been successful in improving the speed with which we remove detrimental Google “red flags,” indicating that Google finds some of the site’s content problematic. We recently removed a sophisticated red flag from the Web site of the cutting-edge UK based company, Cryoserver.

“We were pleasantly surprised when Google placed Cryoserver on its first page results less than one month from starting SEO efforts,” says Mr. Husayni. “I’m very proud of my team. They worked very hard to help this company achieve its rightful Google ranking – in a very short period of time.”

Here are some reasons on why your site's rankings would fluctuate on Google search results.

Many of you may have seen your site’s ranking on Google Search Results (SR’S) fluctuate and you have wondered why. Recently, one of our subscribers asked me the same question and I thought it would be beneficial to post an answer for everyone.

I have personally seen Google search results fluctuations since I started my SEO career. For one thing, if it wasn’t for Google changing the search results pages, none of our clients would have had top of Google rankings, right?

But what we mean here is gaining and losing first page or top positions in cycles. Normally, this doesn’t happen for very competitive keywords, as top players always have SEO experts on their sides. But for less competitive keywords, this is a common phenomenon.

Here are some reasons that you see your site’s rankings fluctuate on Google:

1- Posting fresh content: Google values fresh content on sites. Adding a new story to your blog, posting a new article on your site or simply rewriting your site’s homepage could trigger Google bots to move you up the scales a few notch. Same could go for your competitors. However, the improvements in rankings don’t last that often unless you keep on updating your site’s content.

2- Optimization Removal: if our SEO team has optimized your site and you have over-written the optimization work by uploading your old files to the server, you have caused your site’s rankings to be dropped. In this case, you can ask our team to re-upload the files.

3- Different Google bots: each Google bot (spider) uses a slightly different algorithm; so, theoretically, when different spiders visit your site, they would rank your site according to their algorithm.

4- Duplicate content: this is also more likely a theory as I have not seen the proof of it, but I was just reading Google Webmaster Help and someone had claimed if your site’s content is copied by someone else, it could fluctuate your rankings. However, what I’ve seen with duplicate content is that rankings will drop to 10+ pages of Google SR’s.

We appreciate your comments/questions.

Master Google recently received an upgrade of its Google Page Rank to a 6 out of 10.

Google recently upgraded the Page Rank for our Web site from a 4 to a 6. This accomplishment is a result of our skill with SEO and hard work – and demonstrates how our clients can benefit by signing up for our SEO services.

Page Rank is the result of Google’s search algorithm, which gives a number to every hyperlinked set of documents as a measure of its importance on the Web. The algorithm assigns each Web site a number from 0 to 10 representing that site’s value to Google. The 0 to 10 scale is logarithmic, like the Richter Scale, so that each number is exponentially harder to achieve than the previous number.

Google does not reveal all the factors that go into determining Page Rank, but the score does depend in part on the number of inbound links for a Web site as well as the quality of the pages providing inbound links. In other words, if site A links to site B, Google interprets that as a “vote” by site A for site B. The weight given to site A’s vote, however, depends on its Page Rank. If there are no links to a Web page, there is no support for that page. Another factor influencing Page Rank is how often the Web site is updated with fresh content.

“We are very pleased to have Master Google’s Page Rank increase so dramatically,” said Master Google CEO Ali Husayni. “Since each number on Google’s Page Rank scale is exponentially harder to achieve than the previous number, the fact that Master Google’s rank has increased so quickly to a 6 is a tribute to the hard work of our employees and the high quality of our Web site’s material. Most SEO Web sites never achieve a Page Rank of 6. So, we’re ranked right up there among the best SEO companies in the world.”

For a long time paying for links has been a controversial topic in the SEO realm. Here, I lay down the pros and cons as well as techniques to use in order to engage the paid links correctly.

Almost eighty percent of users click on organic links on Google’s first page. And being there requires that your site has a high Page Rank and is perceived by this giant search engine as an authoritative Web site. For Google, the determining factor is how popular your Web site is on the Internet. In other words, how many high quality sites are “endorsing” your site or “referring” to it by placing a link on their site pointing to yours.

There are many ways to improve your link popularity and therefore your Google Page Rank (PR), but some of the techniques are more controversial than others. The “organic” way is to provide top-notch content and encourage other sites to link to yours.

Although much of Google’s formula for determining Page Rank (or a Web site’s popularity) is secret, they have revealed that the more sites link to your site, and the better Page Rank (PR) these sites have, the more link juice your site will receive.

However, link building the “organic” way can be a slow process and isn’t always guaranteed to work. So, many Web site owners are tempted to use paid links – simply paying 3rd parties to place a link on their sites. The process of buying links for the sole purpose of improving PR is frowned upon by Google and other search engines since they are trying to provide their users with organic search results.

“The best links are not paid, or exchanged after out-of-the-blue emails – the best links are earned and given by choice,” says Matt Cutts, a Google engineer who blogs about these issues. “Google does consider buying text links for Page Rank purposes to be outside our quality guidelines.”

It is important to note that buying links from 3rd party Web sites shouldn’t be confused with paid advertising or Sponsored Links. With paid advertising, search engines have provided a platform where you can pay them directly to place your link on their search results pages – clearly defined as “Sponsored Links.” Usually, you won’t be charged unless someone clicks on the link to your site – thus Pay Per Click is another name for these advertising methods.

Many Web sites do buy links and, done correctly, it can have a positive effect on your Web site’s Page Rank as well as its ranking on Google search results. But, before you start spending your marketing dollars, you should start with a well-organized SEO strategy – which relies on a variety of “white-hat” (and sometimes not-so-much white hat) Google SEO techniques.

If you still think you need a boost from paid links, keep in mind the strategies and cautions below.

Choose Reputable Sites: If you’re link building by buying links make sure the site you are paying for has a high Google Page Rank (PR 5 or above). Remember that your Page Rank increases because of the quality of your links, not just the quantity. Google gives a higher ranking to sites it views as having more organic back-links and offering legitimate content.

You cannot be penalized by placing a link on a link-farm or a site that has been banned by Google, mainly because your competition could have done that in your place. However, that’s just a waste of your time, since the link coming from a link-farm wouldn’t have any value for your site. But this works both ways. Links from reputable sites will increase your site’s PR. Multiply that by an entire network of second-party sites and you’re on the fast-track to success.

Text Links: If you pay someone to provide a link, you want to make sure the link either looks like an organic part of the Web page (like an endorsement of your services) or like an advertisement. If the purpose of a text link is to funnel traffic to your site, then that’s a perfectly acceptable link-building technique. Note that you’re NOT having the link there for improving your PR, although that’s a bi-product (and could well be your main objective). As far as Google is concerned, you have not crossed any lines.

One option is to pay a site to place content with embedded text links leading back to your site. Be careful which words you use as text links. If you use the same text link words over and over on different Web sites, Google’s algorithm may think that your Web site is spamming. Be sure to vary the keywords you use as text links.

Directories: Directories exist for a wide variety of topics and will provide a link to your Web site for free or sometimes for a fee.
When I try to explain the pitfalls of posting links to sites, I remind clients of all the spam and viruses floating about the Web. Now apply that concept to link building. Sometimes it’s not so easy to recognize the sheep from the wolves. In these situations, it’s best to consult with SEO experts before posting links to bad Web sites. Master Google has a lot of experience with guiding its clients through these treacherous waters and has helped many sites get to the top of Google in 2 to 6 months.

Safe directories have competitive Page Rank and have been vetted by Google’s AdSense or a similar service. Google doesn’t consider such sites to be link farms since they are run by human editors who evaluate each submitted Web site for relevance and quality –and there is a chance you will be rejected. Some of these sites operate in a bit of a gray area ethically, but usually Google allows them. However, many paid sites aren’t legitimate directories, so be careful. Only a reputable directory can increase your Page Rank and Web traffic.

Staying Power: Paid links offer another downside: they don’t last as long as organic connections. If you take the time to set up a network of organic links, those links will remain in place – directing traffic to you and raising your Page Rank – for a while. Paid links disappear if you don’t keep paying for them.

Getting Links for Free: Whether or not you decide to buy links, you should also consider how you can get links for free. First, offer great content that people want – and keep it fresh. You can also write articles for another Web site and ask for a link from the byline. Or you can offer good blog content or send out press releases.

So, use paid links if you wish, but be extra cautious when you do so. We’ve seen Google penalize sites for specific keywords when spam techniques were used. Pay only for reputable sites and make sure your text links vary from site to site. Then you’re off to the road of Google SEO success.

Master Google has provided free Search Engine Optimization to over 200 clients. At least half have seen a noticeable improvement in their Google ranking.

Master Google, a leading Search Engine Optimization (SEO) company, began offering free Google SEO services –worth $500 – to qualified businesses in August 2009. Since then, the company has helped 390 businesses to improve their ranking on Google and other search engines.

In seven months, Master Google received 1,166 applicants – an average of 170 per month – for free SEO services. 390 applicants were qualified to receive the services and, of those, approximately 50% of the Web sites noticeably improved their Google ranking. Approximately 25% saw improvement in their ranking with other search engines. Such success rates for a free program have encouraged many businesses to give it a try.

“These days it can be hard for a small business to establish a Web presence,” said Ali Husayni, CEO of Master Google. “But we have the knowledge that can help them improve their ranking and become more prominent on the Internet.”

Each of Master Google’s free clients has been able to raise his or her Web site’s profile and improve traffic. In turn, Master Google has a chance to show potential future customers how the firm can help their business.

“I launched mjdrawings.com on Dec. 26 2009,” Nicole wrote. “I signed up for free SEO services a few days later. My site was selected and optimized by Master Google on Jan. 7, 2010. A week later today, all of my seven keywords rank in page 1 in Yahoo, with good improvement ranking in Google. Thank you so much Master Google, for your SEO service!”

The Free SEO Program offers the following services:

•	Keyword Analysis – Identifying a Web site’s most important keywords.
•	Home Page Optimization – Optimizing a Web site’s homepage for those keywords by updating the site’s tags and submitting it to Google for indexing.
•	Ranking Reports – Master Google provides ranking reports to the clients for three months so they can see the improvement in their ranking.
•	Google Analytics – The Web site is set up for Google Analytics

Master Google is still accepting applications for free SEO on its Web site.

Of those applicants who did not qualify for the program, the most common reason was providing the wrong File Transfer Protocol (FTP) data; without that information, Master Google’s staff cannot access a site.

© 2010 Master Google. Authorization to post is granted, with the stipulation that Sinai Marketing and Master Google are credited as sole source. Linking to other sites from this press release is strictly prohibited, with the exception of herein imbedded links.

SEO provides better visibility for Web sites. And, thanks to a recent study showing that we are ever-more dependent on search engines, investing in SEO has never been a safer bet.

BOULDER, CO — According to a recent survey conducted by the Pew Internet & American Life Project, Americans are not only using Google more, they are believing that Google’s rankings accurately portray the best solutions to their searches. In saying this, establishing a higher rank on Google’s organic search results has never been more important for businesses vying for a competitive edge online.

In correlation with businesses turning to the Web for business, utilizing SEO (search engine optimization) is the best route for a company to achieve a better Google ranking. For instance, SEO ranking company Master Google promises its clients top of Google or first page of Google rankings using its proprietary technology and strategies within two to three months of service.

“This study is something that all businesses should pay attention to,” says Master Google Founder and SEO specialist Ali Husayni. “It indicates that Americans trust Google to show them the best options, whether it is finding a doctor close by, buying clothes, or even research for an essay. Smart businesses find ways to communicate to their audience, and SEO is a sound method of moving up Google so that people can find your business.”

According to the survey, which canvassed hundreds of Web experts, the experts are indicating that people are relying on Google’s suggested sites as the best resources, our dependence on Google is growing, people trust organic (left-column) search results over sponsored links, and people have begun using the word “Google” in place of “search engines” when talking about conducting Web searches.

“It’s no secret that Google has become a household name and a staple to consumerism,” exclaims Husayni. “What is a bit harder for companies to figure out, is how to use Google to their advantage. That’s where SEO comes in. Master Google’s SEO consulting has improved client Web presence time and time again. We’ve made a name for ourselves as a great middle-man business that brings our clients and their consumers together.”

I’m currently working on an eBook, which is going to encapsulate what I have learned in the past several years through training courses, studying Google as well as research and development. The eBook on Google SEO techniques is going to be out by March 1st- I’ve already completed the first draft.

Google has over 74% of the total global search market and it provides hundreds of Millions of search results each month to Internet users. It also helps generate revenue for Web sites through its Google Adsense program.

So, the more traffic your site has, the better off you’re going to be. And having a strong presence on Google organic results brings your site the targeted traffic you’re looking for.

All of these reasons make having a good placement on Google search results that much more important. For most keywords the competition is fierce, but if you learn the tricks of Google SEO, soon, you’ll be able to place your site high on Google search results.

I’m thinking of offering a few pages of the eBook to be viewed for free and charge a flat fee for giving access to the entire eBook.

If I find enough people interested in the eBook then I am planning to develop training courses for those who want to become Google SEO experts.

So far, here are the titles of the chapters:

- Is this for you?

- Keywords Identification

- Optimization

- Optimization No No’s

- Links, Links and Links

- Acquiring Inbound Links

- Link Building No No’s

- Conclusion

I tried very hard to write this eBook as simple as possible so everyone can understand it. More is coming on the eBook soon.

Please leave your comments. I’m specifically looking for your feedback to know what you want to see in this eBook. Thanks in advance.

We're the first company to offer a comprehensive free SEO service for Google and other search engines. In the past few months, we've been able to deliver what we promised.

Our free SEO program is by far the most popular – for the first time in the the SEO history you don’t have to pay a penny to get your site optimized. SEO companies charge anywhere from $100 to $1,000 PER MONTH for the same service we offer for FREE.

It’s Too Good to Be True!

It is too good and it is true. We benefit from this service in multiple ways some of which includes:

- Our reputation – many firms who do not trust SEO companies are able to see that we’re different

- Prove SEO results – if your site ranks on Google while you didn’t pay anything, imagine what we can do with it if you do pay

- Paid SEO clients – some of the free SEO clients have now become our paid SEO clients through one of our packages.

Ranking Better With Google!

Within the past five months – since the start of the program – we’ve been able to qualify and optimize 190 out of 476 applicants through our free SEO program. About 40% of the sites we optimized are now ranking better on Google and about 20% on the other search engines. Depending on the competitiveness of their keywords, many of them have first page of Google ranking.

Why We Rejected Some Applicants

The main cause for us to reject some applications was that the FTP information provided was incorrect. Without an accurate FTP info, we’re unable to optimize a given site. If your site was rejected, please kindly refill our services request form.

With competition catching up to Master Google's SEO techniques, the Google marketing company is adding new ingredients to their SEO recipe.

With Google’s ever-changing algorithms and competitors catching up, Master Google, a leading search engine optimization (SEO) company has invested heavily in R&D to develop new, unique approaches to SEO that yield big results for the company’s clients.

As a result of their research, Master Google will be changing approaches to its SEO strategy each month to keep up with Google and keep their clients climbing Google’s search results pages.

“Google’s internal system evolves everyday,” says Master Google’s President Ali Husayni. “For a company that specializes in mastering Google and aiding clients in achieving a strong Web presence on Google, staying on top of the changes to Google’s algorithms is of critical importance. Thankfully, our R&D team is a strong, dedicated group of talented programmers enabling us to keep up with Google and stay ahead of the curve.”

Though Husayni could not comment on the newer techniques Master Google has recently adopted, he did state that some prevalent SEO techniques that survive the test of time are directory submissions, press release and article submissions, and blogging.

“Our newer strategies took long hours and sleepless nights to discover,” says Husayni. “Unfortunately, these secrets could easily be copied and spoil our hard work. However, if people are willing to schedule a consultation to discuss Master Google’s Web site promotion techniques, I’m more than happy to share Master Google’s strategies with new clients.”

Launched in the summer of 2009 as an affiliate company of Sinai Marketing, Master Google has steadily added new programs and services to its lineup to stay fresh and add new benefits for clients. Since its launch, the company has added its Free SEO service which provides preliminary SEO strategies to clients at no cost to the client, and also a press release service, which provides original writings for clients at a minimal fee. The writings are used for circulation throughout the Web, including Master Google’s own distribution network.

“Online marketing and SEO is a rapidly changing, highly competitive market,” says Husayni. “We’d be remiss if we were not coming up with fresh ideas and developing new products. Our core SEO services surely do the trick, but all the new programs and techniques keep giving us an edge over other SEO companies.”

© 2009 Master Google. Authorization to post is granted, with the stipulation that Sinai Marketing and Master Google are credited as sole source. Linking to other sites from this press release is strictly prohibited, with the exception of herein imbedded links.

A brief description on ups and downs of SEO for the search engine giant, Google, in 2009.

Google doubled its search market in 2009, compared with 2008 (so did the number of our clients and revenues). Growing this fast is not an unusual trend for the search engine giant. Yahoo! and Bing schlepped and screamed to “dent” Google’s popularity and yet, Google is no game loser. Its search strategy was as strong as ever.

For SEO gurus the game got that much harder. 2009 was by far the most difficult year I had in keeping up with Google. Not only because our admired giant kept changing its search algorithm (like that’s something new), but also because the “link-building” game was being “copied” and “manipulated” by other SEO firms much faster.

“White-hat” SEO techniques that used to work wonders early in the year, had very little effect after a short period of time – due to over usage by all the SEO firms.

I personally rolled up my sleeves and jumped into the pool of learning how to find “new” ways of generating organic links. In another post I will share some of my findings.

I learnt one thing. Finding new organic link-building methods is an ever growing game. We have to spend more time digging into the NET and learn from our trial and errors and tweak our tests to see what works and what doesn’t. Honestly it wasn’t easy.

The good news is that we were more successful than ever. Most of our clients enjoyed top rankings on Google (the ones that were paying for the top rankings) and their businesses grew – even in the economic down-turn.

We were even able to offer free SEO to over 300 qualified Web sites. Close to 90% of them saw a change in their rankings. This is what we gave back to the Internet world.

Be tuned in as I will post more items related to some of our SEO secrets as well as laying down our strategies for 2010. Enjoy your holidays.

Master Google SEO expert explains how Google algorithm works and how he's able to tell whether or not your site qualifies to be ranked at the top.

You’re not alone. I’ve heard this at least ten times in the past month. About 50% of our clients don’t believe we can actually deliver on our promise of getting their sites ranked at the top of Google search results. Some leave keeping their beliefs and some decide to let us prove them wrong.

If you honestly don’t believe this is possible, then read on; I may have you believe otherwise.

First, there is a difference between guaranteeing to rank your site at the top and guaranteeing to refund your money if your site is not ranked at the top.

You see? We DO NOT guarantee to place every single site at the top, but we pay you your money back if we’re unable to do so.

Google also advises against those companies that guarantee your site to be at the top. After all, only Google decides who’s going to be at the top, and who’s not.

In reality, every site is capable of ranking at the top, however, the efforts to do so vary greatly and for some companies, it’s not worth the time/effort/investment.

I’ll put this in more simple terms:

Google is very logical and its logic is very simple: “Rank sites based on their popularity on the Internet.” In other words (generally speaking), sites with a better Page Rank (PR) get to rank at the top of Google for a particular keyword (of course with the correct optimization in place). PR is determined by the number and the quality of inbound links a site receives.

Google considers each inbound link pointing to your site from other 3rd party sites as a vote of confidence in your site. The 3rd party site refers its readers to your site for more information. Now, your site becomes a reference point for another site – thus a valuable site in Google’s terms. Imagine you have hundreds or thousands of these kinds of links. Google will realize that your site is a “mother” site. Therefore, it’ll rank it above all the other sites.

Do you see how simple this logic is?

The logic is simple, but to actually get your site known enough in the Web world so 3rd party sites link to your site as a reference is another story. It takes very delicate and tedious work to accomplish this in a short period of time. And that’s what we have mastered.

I have been able to place sites at the top of Google in 2-6 months.

Sure. I can share with you numerous examples of sites that we’ve helped rank at the top. I just can’t mention them here for obvious reasons. Just fill out our services request form and I’ll set up a time to share with you some of our secret inbound link-building techniques and tell you precisely how long it’ll take for us to place your site at the top.

Is Google SEO right for everyone?

No, of course not. For some businesses, it is not worth their time, money or the efforts to get their sites ranked at the top. Some keywords are way too competitive and Google is dominated by huge corporations with great SEO budgets that smaller companies couldn’t compete with them. However, for most other keywords, it is very possible to rank at the top.

Find out for yourself if your site can compete. Fill out our services request form and I will personally respond to you.

SEO companies are like car dealerships. There are honest ones and there are crooks. Just like cars, you don't know what goes into SEO work, so the SEO guy can easily manipulate and lie to you or sell you something that has little value or benefit, if any.

SEO companies are like car dealerships. There are honest ones and there are crooks. Just like cars, you don’t know what goes into SEO work, so the SEO guy can easily manipulate and lie to you or sell you something that has little value or benefit, if any. Here are some lines SEO companies and their salespeople use to make you believe they’re great, while in reality, they’re not.

1 – “We will guarantee your site’s position.”

Everyone says that. But when you hear the above, the first question you should ask is: “on what search engines?” If they say, Google, Yahoo!, Bing, etc. then you need to tell them that you’re only interested in Google. Ask them if they can get you ranked at the top of Google.

And here is why:

Google holds more than 74 percent of the total search market; followed by Yahoo! with only 15 percent (do you see the huge gap?). If your site is ranking on Google, then you basically don’t need to worry about the other search engines. If it doesn’t, then it could be No. 1 on all the other search engines and you still would see very little traffic coming to your site.

If the SEO company can get your Web site to rank at the top of Google search results, then you’re in good hands. If not, do not WASTE your money with them.

The second question you need to ask them is: “for what keywords?” It is very common for crook SEO companies to place your site on the first page or at the top for mundane keywords that NO ONE is searching for. It doesn’t matter if your site is coming up for “I want to buy red shoes online.” Who is going to type that in the Google search box? If they can get you to rank for “shoes online,” then you’re talking.

The reason they do that is because it is easy to optimize for these “long” keywords. All they have to do is spend two hours optimizing your site and BOOM… your site appears at the top. However, since no one searches for that phrase, you’re not going to get any business from it.

The free tool you can use to see what keywords are popular keywords is the Google Keyword Selector Tool. It will tell you the search volume for any particular keyword you type in as well as its synonyms or combinations of multiple keywords.

2 – “We’ll place your site at the top in one month.”

Unless your Web site is already on the first page, no SEO company using “white-hat” SEO techniques can get it to rank at the top of organic results that fast. Most of the time it’ll take between three to six months and sometimes even a year (in very competitive markets) before you see your site at the top.

What these SEO companies could be talking about is placing your site at the top of Dog Pile or many other irrelevant search engines that only care for “on-site” optimization.

They could also be using “black-hat” SEO techniques, which means your site, will temporarily get top rankings and then will be “red-flagged” by Google and dropped from their database entirely and for good.

“White-hat” SEO work that will get your site ranked at the top of Google and stay there is tedious, delicate work. It could take up to 500 hours or more of intense labor before your site ranks at the top.

3- “Be aware of those who guarantee first page of Google listings.”

This is my favorite line from SEO newbies. Just because some SEO “experts” (sarcasm, alright?) are unable to rank your Web site on the first page or at the top of Google, they tell you that no one else can.
I will show you many examples of Web sites we’ve placed at the top of Google organic results.

4- “We will submit your Web sites to hundreds of search engines.”

Pointless. Only Google counts. If they get your site to be at the top of Google search results, good. Other than that, you’ll be wasting your money.

Also, “submitting” alone will not do anything for your Web site. Google should find your Web site naturally by following inbound links pointing to your site.

5- “I know someone at Google who helps our clients rank on the first page.”

This is the funniest one. Google has no connection whatsoever with SEO companies. The last thing Google wants is to be perceived as “unfair.” They lay the groundwork for SEO and they support “white-hat” SEO techniques. But they will never, ever “help” any Web site to rank higher on their search engine.

As a matter of fact, I wrote a story about Google hiring a third-party SEO company to help them rank one of their Web sites at the top position (which was frowned upon by many).

If you want to be in good hands, make sure you study the SEO Company you want to work with. See their success rate and be aware that many SEO companies aren’t reputable. The last thing you want to happen to you is not to get your money’s worth or even worse: to be banned from Google search results for good).
